Hurricane Florence batters east coast, thunderstorms flood Texoma
Hurricane Florence was a powerful and long-lived Cape Verde hurricane that caused severe damage in the Carolinas in September 2018.
Here in Texoma, we were battling a different kind of storm. The rain gauge that officially measures the amount of precipitation Wichita Falls receives took a "direct hit" in one day, bringing nearly 2 inches of rain by 2 p.m.
This SERVPRO of Wichita Falls customer experienced both roof damage and water coming under the doors.
SERVPRO of Wichita Falls responded quickly, extracting water and using technology to begin the drying process.
SERVPRO of Wichita Falls is part of our national SERVPRO Disaster Recovery Team, and have helped hundreds of families recover from losses from hurricanes and localized flooding.
In fact, we had teams on the ground helping the recovery effort from Hurricane Florence while our team left here at home helped clean up from this local storm!
