Tankless water heater goes out, floods Children's Home
Tankless water heaters were designed for small spaces (like under a sink) and are not supposed to freeze.
The one in use at this Children's Home did freeze, and flooded the main level and basement.
SERVPRO of Wichita Falls inspected the site and immediately began extracting water and setting up containment zones to unaffected areas.
We then began removing baseboards, pulled appliances away from the walls and moved all wet items to a dry location.
Our initial estimated dry date to our customer was five days, based on our SERVPRO science of drying.
Five days later, after utilizing sixty one air movers and eight dehumidifiers, the facility was clean and dry.
